Usually. Our system designer maps the sun and shade on your own roof over a full year, trees included, so the panels go where the sun actually lands. Where shade cuts in, we add a little panel area or build a rack in a sunnier corner of the yard. If a tree shades the only good spot most of the day, the map shows that too, before you spend anything.
Not if the layout is right. Where the sun allows, we use the roof faces that show least from the street, and every exposed pipe is painted to match the house. You see the layout before we start, and if anyone else has to sign off, that drawing is what they will want to see. You can sketch one yourself in the system designer.
If the roof is close to done, do the roof first and we'll put the panels on the new one. If the panels are already up when the roofer comes, we take the array and plumbing off and put them back once the new roof is on.
