Solar pool heater installation
A system designed for your roof and your pool — panel area equal to about 80% of the pool's surface, mounted, plumbed, and tuned by our own crew in one to two days. No gas line, no monthly bill: your existing pump sends water through the panels and the sun does the heating.
Most Southern California installations run $5,000–$10,000 depending on pool size and roof layout, and the quote is firm after a free on-site design visit. You can also lay out a system on your own roof online and see the price before anyone comes out.

A failing panel shouldn't cost you a dime if it's inside its 12-year warranty. We inspect it, put the manufacturer's claim paperwork together, swap in a like-for-like panel, and test the whole system before we leave.
Past warranty? You get a straight answer. Panels last 12–20 years, so sometimes one new panel is right — and sometimes the honest math says new system. We'll walk you through both numbers.

Questions about choosing a service
Yes — four of the five services on this page apply to a system we didn't install: repair, warranty panel replacement, removal and reinstallation for roof work, and inspection. Servicing other people's systems is a large share of our work and always has been. If you inherited a system with the house and don't know what you've got, start with an inspection and a written report.
Start with what you can see. Water dripping off the roof, a valve that won't switch, or a controller that isn't calling for heat is a repair. A split or blistered panel on a system under 12 years old is usually a warranty replacement. Panels are 12–20 year parts, so on an older array a single new panel can be good money after bad — that's when we price a new system beside the repair and let you compare the two. We handle it. We inspect the panel, put the claim paperwork together with the manufacturer, swap in a like-for-like panel, and test the system before we leave — you're not chasing anyone by phone. Yes. The panels, plumbing, and mounting hardware all sit on the surface the roofer is replacing, so the array comes down first and goes back up after. We cap the plumbing, label and store every piece, reinstall to spec, and pressure-test the whole system — scheduled around your roofer's timeline. If the panels are already near the end of their life, that's the natural moment to replace them rather than pay for roof access twice. Full details on removal and reinstallation.
If you already know what's wrong — a visible leak, a dead valve — go straight to a repair and save yourself a step. An inspection is for when you don't: buying a house with panels already on the roof, taking over a system nobody has looked at in years, or deciding whether an aging array is worth keeping. You get a written report in plain language covering panels, plumbing, valves, mounting hardware, and controls, and no sales pitch attached to it.
It depends which service. A design visit for a quote is usually on the calendar within a few days of your call. Most repairs are finished in one visit, and a new installation takes one to two days once it's scheduled. If water is spraying off the roof right now, turn the valve to bypass the roof or shut the pump off before you call — that stops the damage while you wait.
