The inland problem
Hot afternoons. Cold mornings. Short season.
Nobody in Riverside County argues about whether we get enough sun. The trouble isn't the afternoon — it's everything on either side of it. Our air is dry and cools off hard after dark, so an open pool gives back overnight much of what the day handed it. That's why the water can feel uninviting at seven in the morning in July, in a valley where the patio is already too hot for bare feet.
The bigger gap is spring and fall, when the days are still long and bright enough to heat water and the air simply isn't doing it. An unheated pool here is comfortable from about early June to late September. With a properly sized system it's about mid-April to late October, and with a cover on at night, March into November. Riverside
Riverside has every kind of roof this trade sees: barrel tile, composition shingle, low-slope, and two-story homes with a long run down to the pool equipment. We install new systems and handle solar pool heater repair in Riverside all over the city, and when an array finally gives up, we'll tell you whether one panel or a full replacement is the right fix.
Temecula

Hillside lots and two-story homes can put some distance between the equipment pad and the panels. That's a design question, not a dealbreaker, and plumbing distance is already priced into our instant estimate. We cover Eastvale, Jurupa Valley and Norco too.
Murrieta and nearby towns
Newer homes, and a lot of solar still young enough to be under warranty. We also cover Canyon Lake, Lake Elsinore, Menifee, Wildomar and Winchester.

Rural and wine-country properties
When the roof isn't the right answer
Two things stop a rooftop system: the roof faces the wrong way, or something shades it half the day. On a quarter-acre lot that's a hard stop. On acreage around Temecula, De Luz and Aguanga it rarely is — there's open land with better sun than the house has.
So we build the array on a rack framed to the pitch we want: full southern exposure however the house was sited, panels you can walk up to, no roof penetrations. Trenching the lines back to the equipment pad is ordinary work for our crew — racks on open land, hillside racks and trenched runs are all in the install gallery.
San Diego County
Fallbrook, Bonsall and Rainbow
We cover all three. The land here is a lot like rural Temecula: groves, slopes and acreage, where the sunniest spot often isn't the roof, so the panels often go on a rack in the yard.
