Two very different jobs in one city
Across most of Temecula it is barrel tile, an architectural committee and a mid-sized pool. That calls for a clean rooftop array with the supply and return painted to match the house, and a layout drawing the HOA will approve.
Out toward De Luz and the wine country it is acreage, and the roof is often the wrong answer — oak shade, a house sited for the view rather than the sun, a long run back to the equipment pad. There we build on the ground or on a pitched rack, aim it properly and trench the lines. Examples of both are in the install gallery.

Leaks are the most common call by a wide margin — a split in one of the small tubes across the mat, a cracked header, a fitting that has given up after fifteen summers. Next come the no-heat calls that turn out to be a valve actuator, a check valve or a controller set wrong rather than the panels at all.
A leaking panel body is usually repairable in place. A cracked header is not, so we swap that panel and leave the rest of the array where it is. Temecula questions
Usually, and California's Solar Rights Act limits how far an association can restrict a solar system. In practice the committee wants to know what it will look like, so that is what we give them: panel placement on your actual roof, and plumbing painted to match the tile or stucco so the run reads as part of the house. Ask us for the layout before you file — it is the same drawing the system designer produces.
Often, and on the larger Temecula and De Luz properties it is frequently the better system anyway. A ground array or pitched rack gets full southern exposure however the house is sited, needs no roof penetrations, and you can walk up to it when something needs a look. We trench the lines back to the equipment pad.
Summer heats a Temecula pool on its own. What solar buys is the shoulder — May and June at the front, late September into October at the back — plus a spa that is usable well before the pool is.
