Who this policy covers

Solar Pool Services Inc. is a family-owned solar pool-heating company based in Riverside, California, serving homeowners across Riverside, Orange, and San Bernardino counties (C-46 Solar Contractor License #924564). This policy covers the personal information we collect through solarpoolservicesinc.com, our online quote tool, and the forms you use to reach us.

Information we collect

We collect information two ways: what you tell us directly, and what's gathered automatically while you use the site.

What you give us directly

When you request a quote or ask for repair, removal, or inspection service, we collect what you enter into the form: your name, phone number, email, service address, company name (if you're a contractor or property manager), your county, and details about your pool — size, shape, and roof information. We also keep whatever you write to us in a message field.

The address you enter is matched through a mapping provider's address autocomplete, so we get the complete street, city, state, and ZIP. If you use our online quote builder, we additionally collect the pool outline you trace, the coverage goal you choose, and the resulting estimate configuration.

What we collect automatically

We use Google Analytics and Google Ads, delivered through a single Google tag, to understand how the site is used and which ads lead to real inquiries. These rely on cookies and similar identifiers, and they're gated behind a cookie banner that defaults to declined — they only run once you accept.

For spam control on our forms, we don't store your IP address in raw form. We run it through a one-way, salted hash and use only that to rate-limit abuse. Our hosting provider also keeps standard server logs, the way most websites do.

Bot protection on our forms

Our forms are protected by Cloudflare Turnstile, which checks that a real person — not a bot — is filling them in. It runs in invisible mode: there's no puzzle to solve and nothing to click, and most of the time you won't know it's there.

To make that check, Cloudflare receives your IP address, your browser's TLS fingerprint and User-Agent header, and the site key that identifies our forms. Cloudflare processes this to tell people apart from bots. Because it's a security measure that protects the forms themselves, Turnstile runs whether or not you accept analytics cookies — it isn't part of the cookie banner choice.

Cloudflare's handling of that information is described in its Turnstile Privacy Addendum, which supplements Cloudflare's privacy policy.

How we use your information

  • Respond to your quote or service request and follow up with you
  • Prepare your estimate and, if you hire us, schedule and perform the work
  • Send the emails you ask us for
  • Measure which ads actually lead to real inquiries — including sending Google a one-way, SHA-256-hashed version of your email and phone number, never the plain text, for what Google calls "enhanced conversions." We only do this after you submit a form, and only if you've accepted analytics cookies.
  • Keep spam and bots off our forms with a Cloudflare Turnstile check — see Bot protection on our forms above
  • Keep ordinary business records
  • Comply with the law

Who we share it with

We never sell your personal information. We work with a handful of service providers, all based in the United States, to run the business. Each is bound by contract to use your information only to perform its service for us, and each only sees what it needs to do its job. They fall into these categories:

  • Website hosting, data storage, and security — keeps the site online and keeps bots off our forms
  • Analytics and advertising measurement — tells us how the site is used and which ads lead to real inquiries
  • Mapping and address lookup — powers the address autocomplete on our forms
  • Email delivery — sends the transactional emails you ask us for, like quote confirmations
  • Field-service management — the software our team uses to schedule and manage your job once you're a customer

We may also disclose information when the law requires it, or to protect our rights, our customers, or the public.

Under California's privacy law, sending measurement information to our advertising provider can count as "sharing" — specifically, cross-context behavioral advertising — even though no money changes hands. You can opt out of that at any time; see "Your privacy choices" below.

How we contact you

We'll follow up about your request by phone or email — whichever you gave us. We don't send marketing text messages.

How long we keep your information

We keep quote and job records for as long as we need them to handle your request, plus ordinary business and legal record-keeping after that. You can ask us to delete your information at any time — see "Contact us" below.

Your privacy choices

Look for the "Your privacy choices" link in the site footer — it reopens the cookie banner so you can change your analytics choice whenever you like. If your browser sends a Global Privacy Control (GPC) signal, we honor it automatically as an opt-out request.

Your California privacy rights

If you live in California, the CCPA/CPRA gives you the right to:

  • Know what personal information we've collected about you, and why
  • Access a copy of it
  • Correct it if it's wrong
  • Delete it
  • Opt out of the sale or sharing of your information
  • Limit the use of sensitive personal information (we don't collect sensitive personal information beyond the ordinary contact details described above)
  • Not be discriminated against for exercising any of these rights

To exercise any of these rights, call (951) 276-8286 or email [email protected]. We verify requests by matching them against the contact details we have on file, and we respond within 45 days. You can also have someone you've authorized in writing submit a request on your behalf.

Children's privacy

Our site is built for homeowners. It's not directed at children, and we don't knowingly collect information from anyone under 16.

Changes to this policy

If what we collect or how we use it changes, we'll update this page and the date at the top.
