Who this policy covers

Solar Pool Services Inc. is a family-owned solar pool-heating company based in Riverside, California, serving homeowners across Riverside, Orange, and San Bernardino counties (C-46 Solar Contractor License #924564). This policy covers the personal information we collect through solarpoolservicesinc.com, our online quote tool, and the forms you use to reach us.

Information we collect

We collect information two ways: what you tell us directly, and what's gathered automatically while you use the site.

What you give us directly

When you request a quote or ask for repair, removal, or inspection service, we collect what you enter into the form: your name, phone number, email, service address, company name (if you're a contractor or property manager), your county, and details about your pool — size, shape, and roof information. We also keep whatever you write to us in a message field.

The address you enter is matched through a mapping provider's address autocomplete, so we get the complete street, city, state, and ZIP. If you use our online quote builder, we additionally collect the pool outline you trace, the coverage goal you choose, and the resulting estimate configuration.

What we collect automatically

We use Google Analytics and Google Ads, delivered through a single Google tag, to understand how the site is used and which ads lead to real inquiries. These rely on cookies and similar identifiers, and they run for every visitor. Because they're Google's tools, Google may collect information about your visit as part of the activity it sees over time and across other websites. If you'd rather not be measured, your browser's cookie controls work here the same as anywhere, and Google offers its own: Google Ads Settings and the Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on. Our site doesn't respond to Do Not Track or Global Privacy Control browser signals.

For spam control on our forms, we don't store your IP address in raw form. We run it through a one-way, salted hash and use only that to rate-limit abuse. Our hosting provider also keeps standard server logs, the way most websites do.

Bot protection on our forms

Our forms are protected by Cloudflare Turnstile, which checks that a real person — not a bot — is filling them in. It runs in invisible mode: there's no puzzle to solve and nothing to click, and most of the time you won't know it's there.

To make that check, Cloudflare receives your IP address, your browser's TLS fingerprint and User-Agent header, and the site key that identifies our forms. Cloudflare processes this to tell people apart from bots. It's a security measure that protects the forms themselves, so it runs on every form, for everyone.

Cloudflare's handling of that information is described in its Turnstile Privacy Addendum, which supplements Cloudflare's privacy policy.

How we use your information

  • Respond to your quote or service request and follow up with you
  • Prepare your estimate and, if you hire us, schedule and perform the work
  • Send the emails you ask us for
  • Measure which ads actually lead to real inquiries — including sending Google a one-way, SHA-256-hashed version of your email and phone number, never the plain text, for what Google calls "enhanced conversions." We only do this after you submit a form.
  • Keep spam and bots off our forms with a Cloudflare Turnstile check — see Bot protection on our forms above
  • Keep ordinary business records
  • Comply with the law

Who we share it with

We never sell your personal information. We work with a handful of service providers, all based in the United States, to run the business. Each is bound by contract to use your information only to perform its service for us, and each only sees what it needs to do its job. They fall into these categories:

  • Website hosting, data storage, and security — keeps the site online and keeps bots off our forms
  • Analytics and advertising measurement — tells us how the site is used and which ads lead to real inquiries
  • Mapping and address lookup — powers the address autocomplete on our forms
  • Email delivery — sends the transactional emails you ask us for, like quote confirmations
  • Field-service management — the software our team uses to schedule and manage your job once you're a customer

We may also disclose information when the law requires it, or to protect our rights, our customers, or the public.

How we contact you

We'll follow up about your request by phone or email — whichever you gave us. We don't send marketing text messages.

How long we keep your information

We keep quote and job records for as long as we need them to handle your request, plus ordinary business and legal record-keeping after that. You can ask us to delete your information at any time — see "Contact us" below.

Your choices

Want to know what we have on file about you, correct something that's wrong, or have it deleted? Call or email us — see "Contact us" below — and we'll take care of it. We're a small family business, well under the size where California's CCPA and its formal request machinery apply (that law covers companies with over roughly $26 million a year in revenue, or personal information from 100,000+ Californians a year). So we handle these the direct way: you ask, we do it.

For the measurement cookies described above, use your browser's cookie controls or Google's own opt-outs — see "What we collect automatically".

Children's privacy

Our site is built for homeowners. It's not directed at children, and we don't knowingly collect information from anyone under 16.

Changes to this policy

If what we collect or how we use it changes, we'll update this page and the date at the top.
