The technology
How solar pool heating works
Your pool pump sends water up to black solar pool panels on the roof. The sun warms it on the way across, and it comes back down into the pool a little warmer every pass, all day, on its own. Nothing here makes electricity: no inverters, no batteries, nothing tied to your utility bill.

Inside every panel the water spreads through hundreds of small tubes and soaks up the sun's heat, the way a garden hose left out in the yard does. No fuel burned, nothing metered.

No. Beyond your existing pool pump, nothing else runs. There are no inverters, batteries, or extra equipment — just plumbing up to the roof and back.
